Josh has made major progress this week!
1. Josh has changed his hand grip which is huge!
2. Josh is writing more words down on paper faster and his handwriting is improving
3. Josh has more context to his conversations and is able to listen, think, and respond
4. He mentioned, "Mom I have learned not to get too excited about things because if it doesn't happen it make me really angry. I need to try and be more in the middle."
5. Josh cleaned his room with one prompt, and actually had everything off the floor. (Normally this takes 10 prompts, a few books, and ultimately sitting in the room until its done)
6. The teacher has noticed huge progress in the last week as well, including only one prompt to get Josh to switch tasks, and he's doing it with a smile.
Another awesome experience this week is that the Owner, Center Director, and Program Director met with the elementary/middle school special needs directors, the teacher, the school psychologists, Josh's para Mrs Hope, and a few teachers to review the program and provide exercises for children with right and left brain deficits. I think this is a big win for our family to start on the right foot next year when Josh switches to middle school.
Aiden is going to start doing the Primitive Reflux exercises with his brother 2-3 times a day so we can start working on some of his ADHD tendencies. The owner mentioned 81% of children get off of medication after completion of the program. Wouldn't that be awesome??! :)
